Walking itinerary: Aiguille du Criou

Climb Samoëns' iconic peak: Le Criou!

From the small hamlet of Les Vallons, reach Aouille du Criou via Chalets du Trot and Chalets du Criou. You'll first make your way through undergrowth, before arriving at small dwellings and mountain pastures.
A 360° panorama of the Giffre Valley and Mont Blanc awaits you.

Follow the beige signs with the names of the localities and the walking time.

1/ Start from the Vallons d'en Bas parking lot, behind the fountain.
2/ Join the Turchets intersection.
3/ Climb up to Chalets de Pertuet.
4/ At the Chalet du Trot crossroads, follow signs for Chalets du Criou.
5/ You arrive at the Aiguille du Criou.
6/ For the descent, at Chalet du Trot take the alternative route to Bouttiay, then follow the same route to Les Turches as on the outward journey.
7/ Return to the parking lot along the same path as on the outward journey.
