Rando'bus PIC DU MARCELLY - Up the pavé slope

Rando'bus is an original proposal for hiking in the Montagnes du Giffre thanks to the summer shuttle service. Use the destination's mobility network to hike for longer, without having to make the round trip.

Step-by-step description :

• Departure from Taninges Chef-Lieu

• From Place du Château, follow Montée du Sapeur towards Praz de Lys via the cobblestones. The cobbled path rises through the forest before reaching Le Pontet.

• The route continues along the Praz de Lys mountain pasture. Head for Grand Planey, then Pic du Marcelly.

  • Option 1: Go back down the same path for a few hundred metres, then turn left towards Frête de Penaille.

  • Option 2: From the summit, descend towards Frête de Penaille.

• Caution: tricky passage over the Pas de l'Âne (cabled passage).

• Follow the aerial path to Sous-Frête de Penaille, then continue towards Lac de Roy.

• Go around the lake and then down the rocky path towards Les Moliettes.

• Arrival Praz-de-Lys Les Moliettes - return by shuttle bus
