David Vuillermoz, known by the pseudonym MOZ, is a French photographer specializing in architectural photography. Alongside his documentary work, MOZ adopts an artistic approach that merges the visible and the invisible, the material and the immaterial. He addresses contemporary issues through various photographic series. MOZ presents his series Enjoy Skiing (2015): “For nearly 15 years, I lived at the foot of Mont Blanc. This proximity to this Alpine giant fueled my inspiration for this photographic series, which oscillates between the sacred grandeur of the mountain and a reflection on our connection to childhood and life. Hans, the little Playmobil skier, who at first seems to glide down snowy slopes, gradually reveals frosted surfaces of naked bodies. Through Enjoy Skiing, I sought to create a world where each image, initially perceived as innocent, actually conceals deeper reflections on life. My images evoke both mythical peaks and small life lessons. Each shot is a playful wink, supported by titles that play on words and enrich the underlying message. Through humor and delicacy, these works lead us to reflect on our own journeys and how we approach freedom and life's challenges. Enjoy Skiing is not just a series of lighthearted photos, but an invitation to reconnect with the innocence and wonder of childhood. I hope these images remind us that life is a game: an opportunity to carefree carve down the slopes, let go, and rediscover the magic of the present, while honoring the timeless wisdom of the mountain."
