Description

This exhibition highlights the plastic work of three friends, So’Akuna, Céloïse and Pascale. Drawings and watercolors. Free entry during media library opening hours. Exhibition organized by the Criou Livres association.
Drawings by So'Akuna: "Through my work, I explore the paradox of an inner journey where slowing down becomes a source of transformation. Drawing with a single, continuous stroke, I seek to capture the essence of the moment and beauty in simplicity. The line follows its own path, in the image of life as it meanders through its detours and revelations. Each illustration is a celebration of the subtle light that lurks in every moment, a nod to the soul of the beholder." So'Akuna is exhibiting her "Criou" series, hand-drawn, watercolor-colored drawings printed on dibond. Watercolors by artist Céloïse (Cécile Helouis): For this watercolor series, Céloïse is swept away into a timeless, even visionary fantasy world. Nature is present with force and color. These colorful creations are born of ink stains on wet paper. Once dry, the artist contemplates these shapeless forms for a long time. As if in the clouds, a whole universe of characters, animals and plants from other worlds slowly appears. Watercolors of the village by Pascale Coffy, art therapist and painter: "In the gentle heat of the summer of 2021, under the pen of a precious brush, portraits of the village are sketched, from the bell tower, at the bend in the path, or on a bridge in the Alpine Botanical Garden, around the multi-centenary lime tree, or near the flamboyant trees given by Marie-Louise... Like a breath on the history of a life begun here, and on the history of stones juxtaposed like totems witnessing the passage of time in my native village. Like a prayer to rediscover the enchanted places of childhood..."
