Description

If off-piste skiing is your thing, try helicopter skiing and see the lesser-known places. Get away for a day or more and take advantage of this unique, unforgettable holiday experience.
- See the Aosta Valley - Courmayeur: there are numerous routes across glacial terrain at the foot of the impressive south face of Mont Blanc. Changes in altitude range from 1500 to 2000 metres depending on the route and the conditions. - La Thuile: Located in the heart of the Gran Paradisio national park, in the deep Valgrisenche Valley. The longest descents drop 1900 metres in altitude down the famous Ruitor Glaciers. - Cervinia - Mont-Rose: If you are dropped off at the Col du Lys (alt. 4,300m), there is plenty of choice and all the routes are breathtakingly beautiful, with changes in altitude of between 1800 metres and 2900 metres. The valleys remain unspoilt and typical of the area while, at the same time, being very well equipped with skilifts. Just the thing to let you round off your day with some superb off-piste skiing. - The Swiss Valais region, a superb mountain range that has some great slopes, cwms and corridors, very often with excellent snow. From your drop-off point on Trient (alt. 3300m), you can enjoy some wonderful off-piste skiing through the cwms of Trient, the Orny Valley, the Ravines Rousses and the Saleina glacier. The skiing here is suitable for all levels of skill. - Petit Combin (alt. 3670m): You can enjoy a magnificent flight followed by several fabulous descents. Suitable for all levels of skill on slopes that range from average to very steep. The descents can be done on various sides of the mountain, enabling skiers to choose the best snow conditions. - Pigne d’Arolla: An 1800 m drop in altitude! This is one of the traditional helicopter skiing destinations, with a wide choice of descents. It's like Canada but it's the Upper Hérens Valley! The traditional downhill route takes you through the Col des Vignettes and across the Pièce Glacier to Arolla (alt. 2000m). - Zermatt: Ski down to Zermatt on one of the largest and most spectacular glaciers in Europe, the Grenzgletscher (approx. 16 km) You can be picked up and set down, by helicopter, several times over a day or a weekend.
