Itinerary Cimgo / FTT - Samoëns 1600 - Pont du Giffre N°54

Discover the Giffre valley all along the descent.

Itinerary N°54 classified red difficult. Descent of about 45' to 1 hour The downhill itinerary follows the Samoens ski slopes which start from the plateau des Saix at Samoens 1600 to the hamlet of Vercland. The itinerary does not present any technical difficulty but the start is quite steep but wide. The departure is taken at the arrival of the big express massif (Samoens 1600), go down in the direction of the 2 ski lifts (under the GME) and then join the Plateau ski lift. Beware, from this moment, the slope is steep at the bottom of this descent, stay on the right then join the itinerary 54. When you arrive under the GME, stay on the ski run along the forest on the left side (steep slope) and leave itinerary 54. You reach a path and turn right to find yourself on the black itinerary for about 100m before reaching the N°54. You will join a small road to the hamlet of Vercland. Be careful, the path cuts the road several times (do not miss the markings). Arrival at the Pont du giffre.
