Itinéraire Cimgo / FTT

From the Plateau des Saix to Samoens 1600, descent with technical passages in the forest.

Itinerary classified Red. Duration of the descent about 1 hour Access to the plateau des Saix is either by road or by the GME (gondola from Samoens see opening date). Attention the access to the GME is not made with the FTT, it is necessary to take the cabin separately. (1 cabin for FTT and 1 cabin for wheelchair). The start of the trail is at the parking lot of the chariot ski lift (1st parking lot on the right as you drive up). If you go up with the GME, go down on the left, pass in front of the toilets and the handicapped Samoens chalet and follow the ski lift line. From the car park take the red itinerary N°53. The departure does not pose any major difficulty, the technical passages are after the place called Les Plaignes (after the 3rd road passage). Root passage and slightly sloping path. It is recommended to leave with a third person to insure yourself in these passages because the path is narrow. Moreover, you will need to be helped, or even pushed at some point. After having passed the hairpin bends at the place called "La Combe", leave the path to go through the fir tree on the left for about 50m, then join the path towards Samoens. At the hamlet of "Les Rots", turn right on the path (calvary) direction Samoens.
