Introduction to paragliding

During this course, you'll learn the fundamentals of paraglider piloting and enjoy your first solo flight with complete peace of mind!

On the program:

Educational tandem flights :

• Positioning in the harness
• Heading, drift correction
• Change of direction (90°, 180°, 360°)
• First approaches to roll and pitch control
• PTU and PTS/8 circuits
• Landing management

Ground work :

• Getting to know the equipment as a whole
• Canopy inflation and control
• Front and back inflation techniques

First radio-guided solo flights:

• Back launch management (inflation, tempo, trajectory control, acceleration)
• Heading in flight, drift correction
• Alternating and linking changes of direction
• PTU landing circuit

Management of wing movements in flight :

• Face launch management (inflation, tempo, turn, control, acceleration)
• Roll exercise
• Pitch exercise
• Piloting in the harness
• Landing circuit in PTS/8

Theory lessons :

• Basic flight mechanics
• Approach and landing circuits
• Basic aerology
• Training on the use of the reserve parachute

To take this course, you will need :

• A medical certificate less than 1 month old stating "no contraindication to paragliding".
• Good footwear (hiking boots)
• Warm clothing (windproof)
• sunglasses
• Small gloves
